Research and Analysis

Island-based organisations constantly require accurate data and information on core functions of their business which can then support their strategic and operational planning needs.  However, to generate this data and information in-house can be a very costly process and, therefore, the work is often not undertaken.  Island Analysis can provide organisations with value for money research and analysis resources either on a one-off or ongoing basis to enable clear and accurate decision-making to take place within the island context.

Strategic Planning

One of the key findings of recent research work undertaken by Island Analysis is the shortage of on-island resources that can focus on strategic planning. As the company has in-depth experience of how islands function, it is able to offer the necessary support services in this critical area of planning.

Economic, Social and Environmental Impact

Islands worldwide are facing enormous challenges in the future and, therefore, there is a clear need to ensure that island economic, social and environmental strategies are balanced and sustainable.  Research work already undertaken by Island Analysis enables it to develop cost-effective impact assessments for island organisations whether in the public or private sector.

Inward Investment

If an organisation is deciding whether or not to proceed with an investment project in an island, bespoke feasibility studies on that island's economic, social and environmental status can be carried out by Island Analysis.  As part of this work, it would take account of all that island's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as well as making objective comparisons with other similar islands.
